How Google picks the local three
Local rankings come down to relevance, distance and prominence. You can't change distance. Relevance comes from your Google Business Profile categories and services plus the pages on your website. Prominence comes from reviews, listings, links and how often your business is mentioned online.
In Indian cities, two things make this harder than it looks. Addresses are inconsistent, so the same business often appears with three versions of its name and location across Justdial, Google and old directories. And many categories are full of fake or duplicate listings that push genuine businesses down. Cleaning up the first and reporting the second is often the quickest win.
What our Indian local SEO covers
Google Business Profile. The right primary and secondary categories, services written the way people search, correct pin location, hours including festival closures, WhatsApp and call buttons, photos and weekly posts.
Listings. Your name, address and phone made consistent on Justdial, Sulekha, Bing, Apple Maps and your sector's platforms. Old duplicate listings merged or removed.
Reviews. A simple way to ask every happy customer for a review on WhatsApp, reply templates, and tracking against competitors. No bought reviews, ever.
Locality pages. Pages for the areas you serve, such as Koramangala, HSR Layout and Indiranagar, with real detail and directions, never a template with the area name swapped.
Local links. Area newspapers and news sites, RWA and trade associations, event sponsorships and local blogs.
Grid rank tracking. Your map position measured across your service area, so you see exactly where you show and where you don't.
Who it's for
Clinics, hospitals and dentists, showrooms, salons and spas, coaching centres, restaurants, home services, real estate offices and any business whose customers search "near me". Multi-branch businesses get a separate profile, page and review plan for every branch.
